COVID-19 is a disease caused by a novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV2. Currently, there is no proven effective therapy for COVID-19, in particular for older people with comorbidities who are managing their infection at home.

The BEAT COVID-19 Study is a randomised clinical trial of potential treatments for high risk, older people who are confirmed to have been infected with the SARS-CoV2 virus but have not been admitted to hospital for treatment of the disease.
